QR Trust — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · HASP LABS LLC

QR Trust is an iOS app that helps you check QR codes before you act on them. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What happens when you scan

When you scan a QR code, QR Trust decodes it on your device. If the code is a web link and you scan it, the link — or, depending on your privacy setting, only its domain — is sent to our analysis service to check it against known malware and phishing sources. We use this solely to return a safety result to you.

What we collect

Data stored on your device

Your scan history — including any Wi‑Fi passwords or sign‑in codes from scanned QR codes — is stored only on your device (passwords are kept in the iOS Keychain). It is never uploaded to us, and you can delete it in the app at any time.

Servers and logs

Our servers temporarily process the submitted link or domain to perform the safety check and may keep minimal operational logs. We do not sell your data.

Children

QR Trust is not directed at children under 13.
